IDN Policy for .GLOBAL

Supported Languages and Scripts

The Registry Agreement between The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (“ICANN”) and Dot Global Domain Registry Ltd (“Registry”) was amended on 18 September 2014, to allow the Registry to support registrations on the second level for the following Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) languages/scripts:

Arabic language
Belarusian language
Bosnian language
Bulgarian language
Chinese (Simplified) language
Chinese (Traditional) language
Danish language
German language – previously supported
Finnish language
Hindi language
Hungarian language
Icelandic language
Korean language
Latvian language
Lithuanian language
Macedonian language
Montenegrin language
Polish language – previously supported
Russian language
Serbian language
Spanish language – previously supported
Swedish language – previously supported
Ukrainian language

Reference to RFCs

Registration of the supported IDNs must be done in accordance RFC 5890, RFC 5891, RFC 5892, RFC 5893, RFC 5894.

IDN Variants

Until approved by ICANN, IDN variants are not eligible for registration. The Registry will block registration of variants. The Registry will not reserve or any variants of an IDN label.

Registration Terms and Policies

As per ASCII registrations, IDN registrations for .global are eligible for registration on a first come/first served basis..
